Effectiveness: Vitamin C protects against UV-induced damage caused by free radicals and been shown to stabilize collagen.(1)  Vitamin C serums are rich in anti-oxidants that repair and renew the cells and give the skin a healthier look. Vitamin C serum stimulates the synthesis of collagen in the skin which will give you a tighter, firmer and less sagged feel. With a vitamin C cream, it’s a good idea to gradually increase usage by starting off with a cream or serum that has a lower concentration. It’s suggested to start with a 10% concentration, and as your skin gets used to it increase to a serum that has a 15-20% concentration.(2)

Skin aging is also associated with loss of skin moisture. The key molecule involved in skin moisture is hyaluronan or hyaluronic acid (HA), a glycosaminoglycan with a unique capacity to bind and retain water molecules.(3) Hyaluronic acid retains moisture and creates a cushion to help plump the appearance of aging skin.(4)

MSM (MethylSulfonylMethane) is a PURE organic sulfur, also known as DMSO2 (Dimethylsulfone), which is found in all plants and tissues.  Considered to be nature’s beauty mineral due to it’s ability to enhance collagen bundles and restore the foundation for healthy skin. MSM is necessary to both collagen and keratin, where it can help to keep the skin smooth and youthful, and the hair glossy and lustrous.  In nutrition circles MSM is well known as a building block for collagen and connective tissues, making it an excellent approach to anti-aging skin care.(5)

This serum has lots of good stuff for your skin. Not only does it contain a 20% concentration of Vitamin C, but it also has Aloe, MSM, hyaluronic acid, and other vitamins and oils.  It makes for a very nourishing and moisturizing product.  After using this for several days, I noticed that my skin felt softer and more supple. The serum is milky white in color and has a very light smell.  It goes on easily and is absorbed quickly – typically I will put some in the palm of my hand and then rub together, then over my face instead of using the dropper to apply directly to my face.
