Packaging: No additional packaging. 8 Neon Liquid chalk markers come in a box.
Usability: Per the instructions, prime the nib once to release pressure by pushing it down, recap and shake well, remove the cap, prime the nib by pressing it down so the liquid chalk goes throughout the nib, and color.
Quality: Premium quality nibs (made in Japan) and amazingly bright inks. Colors that were most vibrant were Red, Pink, Purple and Green.
Effectiveness: These chalk pens are great for writing on bistro boards and menu boards. You can also use them on other materials such as chalkboard stickers, glass, plastic, metal, whiteboards, and other non-porous surfaces. If you are planning on using this on a blackboard or chalkboard check a small area first. If it is not sealed (meaning that is is porous) it may absorb pigment from the chalk marker and the colors may not come out.
In addition to getting these chalk markers, I also purchased the Crafty Croc Chalkboard Labels to try out. The liquid chalk colors that worked the best for me (at least on the chalkboard labels) and seemed the most vibrant were Red, Pink, Purple and Green. The other colors work okay – just didn’t seem to have a full color left behind. After the liquid chalk dries, it can be removed with a finger or soft cloth. This is definately a great craft idea, but not necessarily for anything lasting due to the material (unless you are planning on laminating or sealing the finished product somehow).
